At the heart of ULI are our members. Since 1936, the organization has been defined by what our members contribute to their communities, each other, and the real estate industry. The shared wisdom and experience of our members is what makes ULI unique. Member involvement and information resources have set the standard of excellence in the practice of real estate development. The Institute's members represent the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines, working in private enterprise and public service.

Membership Options

Private Sector Full Membership

This membership is ideal for an executive, principal, or senior level employee working in the private sector or for-profit sector. Full membership in ULI is selective. To be considered, you must provide references from three current ULI Full Members from different organizations, and a biography.

Annual Dues: $1,175

Public Sector Full Membership

This membership is ideal for a senior-level public official, public planner, government official, academic, or nonprofit executive. Full membership in ULI is selective. To be considered, you must provide references from three current ULI Full Members from different organizations, and a biography.

Annual Dues: $410

Private Sector Associate Membership

This membership is ideal for an entry level to mid-career executive working in the private or for-profit sector. Most of ULI's members join at the Associate Membership level.

Annual Dues: $420

Public Sector Associate Membership

This membership is ideal for entry level to mid-career public planner or government official, academician, or nonprofit employee working in the public sector. Most of ULI's members join at the Associate Membership level.

Annual Dues: $225

Young Leader Membership

This membership is ideal for those under the age of 35, regardless of the sector they work in or stage or level in their career.

Annual Dues: $265

Student Membership

This membership is ideal for a currently-enrolled full time student. Students must provide proof of full-time academic status.

Annual Dues: $90

Sustaining Membership

This membership is ideal for a U.S. private sector firm who would like to provide memberships for several employees with a mix of experience levels. Sustaining Membership offers unparalleled opportunities to gain visibility and build connections. The program is comprised of sustaining membership blocks, each block is $10,000 per year and held in a company name. A firm’s employee roster is created by rolling up individual memberships. Public Agency Membership

This membership is ideal for a government agency, accredited university, nonprofit organization or other public sector organization who would like to provide memberships for several employees with a mix of experience levels. The program provides one Full Membership and two Associate Memberships. Public Agency members can transfer individuals in and out of the membership at any time, and add Associate Members for $100 each.
