ULI NEXT Launch
Are you between the ages of 35-45 and interested in finding out what’s NEXT for ULI?
Join us for the local launch of ULI NEXT, a program for our leaders looking to take the next step. At our cocktail reception, we’ll share our plans for the local implementation of the program. We also have a great presentation planned by Youngro Lee of NextSeed!
About ULI NEXT:
NEXT supports the ULI mission by identifying, connecting, and elevating the next generation of leaders for the built environment. NEXT engages and supports members aged 35-45 into all of ULI’s activities.
The initiative enhances the value of ULI’s global resources and membership networks and fosters leadership opportunities in ULI, the real estate industry, and beyond.
NEXT provides a range of benefits to participants as they develop their leadership skills and build lasting relationships amongst peers, with ULI leadership, and throughout the ULI network. The program will give members:
- Valuable networking opportunities, information, and connections to move careers forward.
- A relevant voice in the organization and its program(s).
- Leadership opportunities to meet individual goals.
Come to our event to learn how ULI Houston plans to implement the program!
The rise of FinTech is changing how we think about everything in finance. Following the recent implementation of the JOBS Act, businesses may now raise capital online from the public, and anyone (including non-accredited investors) may invest into private businesses. NextSeed is a FinTech startup seeking to leverage these latest tech and legal innovations to provide alternative capital and investment opportunities to the public. Youngro will share his experience in starting NextSeed and how investment crowdfunding could help spur more innovation and provide support for emerging entrepreneurs and CRE developers in Houston.
About Youngro Lee:
Youngro Lee is the founder/CEO of NextSeed, a community-driven small business fundraising and investment platform utilizing latest crowdfunding laws. NextSeed was the first SEC-registered Funding Portal under the JOBS Act and closed the first ever Regulation Crowdfunding offering in US history. Prior to founding NextSeed, Youngro was a corporate attorney specializing in private fund formation and private equity investments for 8 years at top international law firms in New York, Moscow, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Youngro received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his law degrees from Cornell Law School.
