Mary Hager
Founder of Thackeray Partners

Mary Hager is the co-founder and owner of Thackeray Partners, a diversified private equity real estate company based in Dallas, Texas. She has over 28 years of experience in the real estate industry. As co-owner, Mary is responsible for setting firm strategy, sourcing and financing real estate transactions, marketing investment partnerships to institutional investors and supervising the overall operations of the portfolio and the company.

Thackeray invests nationally in industrial and apartment investments through a series of private equity funds. The firm has closed over 175 transactions representing $3.8 billion in real estate since formation in 2005. Capital relationships include university and healthcare endowments, charitable foundations, corporate pension funds and institutional high net worth family offices. Prior to Thackeray, Mary spent over sixteen years at Trammell Crow Company and subsequently Crow Holdings where she was involved in starting the firm’s private fund business. She started her career at Price Waterhouse.

Mary graduated from the University of Texas. She is an active member in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) where she currently serves on the executive committee for the Women’s Leadership Initiative and as Vice Chair of the North Texas District Council. Mary recently served as Chair of a national product council for ULI. She is also active in the Real Estate Center at the University of Texas where she serves as Vice Chair.

Mary and her husband Scott live in Dallas and have a married daughter living in Fort Worth and a son studying at Trinity University in San Antonio.
