Vice President, Regional Economic Development
Jason Ford serves as Vice President of Regional Economic Development at the Greater Houston Partnership. Since joining the Partnership in 2014, Jason has lead GHP’s regional economic development team which provides business expansion and site selection services for companies expanding or relocating to the 11-county Greater Houston region. Since his arrival in Houston, the Partnership has announced 64 corporate expansion projects supporting more than 33,000 jobs and $6 billion in new capital investments. His expertise spans from early stage digital companies to industry giants in manufacturing, logistics, energy, and aviation industries.
Jason has worked in three states at the local, regional and state levels. Prior to joining the Partnership, Jason served as a Special Projects Officer in Louisiana in Governor Bobby Jindal’s office of economic development. He also spent eight years as a regional and local level economic development leader in Austin, Texas where he led the community of Taylor to receive three national awards for excellence in economic development.
Jason is a graduate of Ole Miss and the Economic Development Institute at Indianapolis, where he received his economic development certification from the International Economic Development Council. He lives in Kingwood with his wife and two children — a future biologist and a future Astronaut.
