Michele Wheeler serves as the President & Chief Executive Officer
of JacksonShaw. She leads every aspect of JacksonShaw’s commercial real estate
development and is a presence in the firm’s markets sourcing business opportunities.
Ms. Wheeler is involved in land acquisition, entitlements, negotiation of
tenant leases, construction contracts, and management/leasing agreements, as
well as debt and equity financing.
She began her career at Rosewood
Property Company in 1987 and joined JacksonShaw in 2005. Ms. Wheeler creates value
for investors and partners across the firm’s product offerings, including
industrial, hospitality, and residential developments in diverse markets
throughout the United States.
Among her honors, D CEO Magazine
named her “Commercial Real Estate Executive of the Year” in 2020. Professionally,
her leadership roles have included being President of the National Association
of Industrial and Office Professionals (NAIOP); National Product Council Chair
for the Urban Land Institute; Chair of The Real Estate Council (TREC); Director
of the TREC Foundation; member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW); and
member of the Real Estate Financial Executives Association.
She serves on the board of the
JacksonShaw Foundation and previously was on the boards of Boys & Girls
Clubs of Greater Dallas and Circle of Support. Ms. Wheeler is a graduate of
Stephen F. Austin, where she earned a BBA in marketing and management. She is
also a Certified Public Accountant.

Cortney Cole
Senior Managing Director
JLL Capital Markets, Americas
Cortney is a Senior Managing Director in the Houston office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. She joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and has 25 years of experience in commercial real estate finance. Cortney is primarily responsible for originating debt (fixed, floating, bridge, construction) and equity placement transactions throughout the United States across all property types, and she is a team leader for the Midwest and Texas division of JLL’s Equity Placement Group. During the course of her career, Cortney has completed in excess of $9 billion in commercial real estate transactions. Cortney received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and is a past Chair of its Houston District Council, as well as a founding member of the Steering Committee for ULI Houston’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI). She currently serves on the WLI Americas Executive Committee. Cortney is also a member of CREW and a past President of the Houston chapter. She previously served on the Board of Trustees of a Houston-based non-profit charity, The Women’s Resource, and was President of its Board. Cortney has earned recognition as a leading woman professional in the commercial real estate industry. Recent awards include: 2022 Woman of Influence by GlobeStreet; 2021 Women Who Mean Business by Houston Business Journal; 2021 Outstanding Women in Banking and Finance by The Women’s Resource of Greater Houston; 2021 Connect CRE Women in Real Estate Award
