G. Raymond Brown, Ph.D.

Dr. Brown began
teaching at Houston Community College in 2009 and currently leads the HCC
Artificial Intelligence program. His career spans over 25 years teaching
Physics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity and AI in colleges and universities.
He led a team to launch Texas's first AI associate degree at HCC in 2018 and
was instrumental in the launch of the college's first Bachelor of Applied
Technology degree in AI and Robotics. He also worked 17 years as an atmospheric
scientist, meteorologist, consultant and software engineer and manager. He
received a Ph.D. in Physics from Duke University and is a member of Association
for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence, USAi Labs and various developer
network programs in the AI industry. Dr. Brown also serves as advisor for the
HCC Computer Science Association student club. For his achievements with the
HCC's AI program, Dr. Brown became a 2021-2022 recipient of the Innovator of
the Year Award from the League for Innovation.

Director of Oppenheimer’s Private Shares Group, after Oppenheimer acquired
Greencrest Capital, a firm he co-founded to enable pre-IPO transactions in some
of the largest private technology companies in the world, including Facebook,
twitter, and Uber. Prior to that L.D. served as the Principal of Knight Capital
Group’s Private Equity Fund, and previously as a captain in the Israeli Army.
L.D. earned his MBA in Finance from the University of
Pennsylvania Wharton School, and is a Joseph Wharton Merit
Scholar. L.D. also holds a B.A., LL.B., and LL.M. in finance and International
Law from IDC Herzliya.
