Constance B. Moore
Constance B. Moore served as BRE’s president and chief executive officer from 2005 until the completion of the merger with Essex Property Trust in 2014.
Ms. Moore has more than 40 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to joining BRE in 2002, she was the managing director of Security Capital Group & Affiliates. From 1993 to 2002, Moore held several executive positions with Security Capital Group, including co-chairman and chief operating officer of Archstone Communities Trust. During her tenure at Security Capital Group, she served on the boards of directors of both public and private companies owned or controlled by that organization.
Ms. Moore has been recognized by several organizations, including: The San Francisco Business Times as one of the most influential women in the San Francisco business community; honored as the 2010 Distinguished Alumna for the College of Business at San Jose State University; named the 2014 Person of the Year for the Golden Gate Chapter of Lambda Alpha International; awarded the Haas School of Business Life Time Achievement Award in 2019, named as one of the Most Influential Corporate Board Directors in 2019 by WomenInc; received the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts’ 2020 Industry Leadership Award; and named a 2022 Lifetime Trustee of the Urban Land Institute.
Ms. Moore holds an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University. She was the 2009 Chair of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT). She is the Chair of the Policy Advisory Board for the Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics at UC Berkeley; a member of the Board of Directors of the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley; a Trustee and Governor of the Urban Land Institute; a member of the ULI Foundation Board, a member of the San Jose State University Tower Foundation Board; a member of the Board of Directors of Bridge Housing Corporation; a member of the Board of Directors of Civeo Corporation (NYSE: CVEO); a member of the Board of Directors of Tri Pointe Homes (NYSE:TPH); and a member of the Board of Healthcare Realty Trust (NYSE:HR).

Camden
Laurie Baker is Chief Operating Officer for Camden, an S&P 500 company and public REIT with 172 properties containing approximately 60,000 apartment homes. Laurie is responsible for the oversight and strategy of Camden’s portfolio operations and a member of Camden’s investment committee. During her 25 years with Camden, she has held several roles, including Executive Vice President of Operations and Senior Vice President of Fund & Asset Management, and has been responsible for Camden’s reposition and redevelopment program totaling more than $600 million in property improvements. Laurie has a deep understanding of the multifamily industry, evolving customer preferences, and driving transformational change.
Before joining Camden, Baker was Vice President at Walden Residential Properties and spent nine years at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Chevy Chase, MD. She holds an MBA in Finance from George Washington University, and a BBA from Sam Houston State University.
Laurie is an officer on the National Multifamily Housing Council’s Executive Committee, serving as Treasurer and Vice Chair of Government Affairs & NMHC’s PAC. She is a member and past chair of ULI’s Multifamily Bronze Council and serves on the Advisory Boards for Texas A&M’s Master of Real Estate Program and Camp For All. Laurie is a past President of CREW Network and CREW Houston, and in 2022 was recognized with Nareit’s Individual DEI Achievement Award. Laurie was awarded Texas Executive Women’s 2022 Women on the Move and has been recognized four times by Real Estate Forum as a Women of Influence.
